The main reasons the UK didn't help in Iran are the war is illegal, Trumps tarrifs had hit
British businesses hard, and he had taken a huge shit on Britain war dead. There was a huge amount of public anger towards Trump and it felt time to stand up to him.

What Americans may not know is the reason the UK and other countries don't have many (or any) ocean going war ships is down to a treaty with the USA. Most are for border protection.

The USA's not obliged to help because he Falklands are not in the North Atlantic. In fact a large number of American militia died fighting for Argentina.

The problem for Britain is every politician, left and right knows its political suicide to surrender the Falklands. It feels Trump is giving the green light to Argentina to invade. The question is with Russia on the warpath and Trump eyeing up Greenland can we afford to leave our own shores less defended. Or perhaps that's what Trump really wants.

If you want to compare numbers, the United States has delivered materiel 105 billion $ worth, Europe‘s military support is closing on 130 billion $, plus a 90 billion $ financial credit.

Hate to say it but US support in the Falklands war was rather limited especially when you consider that the UK was a NATO member that had its territory attacked and invaded.

No US ships were sent in support of the Royal Navy and not one US soldering. What support was given to the uk was refueling aircraft and new sidewinder missiles but these were paid for like any weapon system or equipment in UK military service.

Bear in mind that this was back in the 80s during the cold war when UK forces were standing side by side with the US in Germany to repel a Soviet union and the US were allowed to operate US airbases in UK territory. After 911 the uk with other NATO members gave the US direct military support and the uk went in with the US in iraqi freedom and were there during the Gulf war and have been supporting US operations all over the middle east including recently with eurofighters shooting down Iranian missiles.

Taking Falklands back won't be doable without bigger airforce and navy operation. Few SOF deployed form a submarine won't take it back.

2. Iranian military collapse. They used to launch 100s of missiles at once, now barely 10% of that. They have no naval and air strength. US military seems perfectly fine. This also ignores the many thousands of IRGC and proxy losses.
3. Iran can only strikes oil tankers and Arab civilians. Even then, 90%+ of all their attacks are stopped.
It's clear Iran is losing badly.

I disagree heavily with his handling.
Its been 6 months, and only about 2 months saw combat.
He's created PR disasters and propaganda for his enemies with pointless talks.
He's hesitated to force regime change, when it's the only option.

I would have preferred most any other president, and he's proven himself a terrible wartime leader.
