I think you can love politics or hate it but you can't really avoid it. Politics affects pretty much every aspect of our lives, whether we pay attention to it or not. I don't think everyone needs to be deeply interested or follow every little thing but I do think it's important to at least know what's going on and have some basic understanding of the things that affect you

Some minimal knowledge about what politics is seems rather important yep, because politics define policies and laws, which in turn define our agency, its scope. It also influences and explains decisions, behaviours, worldviews of a lot of people around us, it would be a pity to overlook that in my opinion

Plus, the thing with politics is that, even if you're not interested in it, politics will be interested in you lol

I never cared about politics until Obama's rise to power in 2008. I was living in Chicago at the time, and from the beginning, it was clear that the media had a vested interest in forcing him down the throats of the public. The 'Sun-Times had him on the front page every single day, for more than 400 consecutive days. You don't do that unless you have an agenda.

i'd say somewhat. politics in embedded into pretty much everything and affects our lives even when we dont notice or think about it. knowing at least a little bit would go a long way

But if you are not involve then you can’t complain when the government is doing things to you that you don’t like.
The most important thing is NEVER take anything on face value. Research and use multiple sources.
