America needs to win dominance in the AI field and not surrender it to China. It is silly to think that skynet is real and AI will somehow exterminate the human race. The government need to regulate it and policies must be implemented, not to impede with the development of the technology but it insure that millions of American workers do not get displaced. There is a real possibility of a sea change in efficiency and all workers should be able to reap the benefits instead of a chosen few.
