Yes, that's exactly how Fascism works. Stupid people never ask questions or connect the dots between words and actions. They choose to believe, my guy good, your guy bad. And that's it forever. That's the GOP precisely. The only addition I would point out is that veterans do far better under Democratic administrations, but they still have difficulties.

The VA Hospitals and clinics set up is archaic. A veteran should NEVER have to seek out a specific clinic or hospital for care. Often they are hundreds of miles apart and backed up for weeks to get an appointment. This is disgraceful treatment for vets.

What SHOULD it be? It should be treated like any Medicare provider with the major exception being you can not turn down care for any veteran. This must be a Federal Law with absolutely no state exceptions. Not all providers are required to accept Medicare payments or patients, but that should NOT be the case for veterans. They should be able to go to any doctor or hospital and receive treatment, fully paid for by our government. There must NOT be a separate list for vets when they call in.

The GOP has been FIRMLY against any sort of proposal that resembles this. They insist the VA system can handle it, which it can't, and then they cut their budget even more. These GOP lawmakers are, for the greater part, evil and despicable mf's.

Republicans cut free lunches for school children and cut SNAP, not Democrats! Republicans cut funding for the VA, not Democrats! Democrats push for workers rights and benefits! They don't suck rich, corporate dick and applaud when workers get fucked! Republicans love that shit! Democrats acknowledge diversity and it's strength! Republicans think diversity is evil... and that only white (mostly male) Christian nationalist represent what Christianity is all about in the US! The numbers are clear that Republicans pretend to be religious, yet look the other way when religious leaders and politicians are identified as pedophiles (like your president) and thieves!
