What you go into the marriage with, you leave with.

Compare the net worth of each individual at the beginning and end of marriage.

Whoever has a higher networth, divide by 2, and that’s the total paid.

No spousal support, nothing extra.

The way you wrote it, it still seems like they’re punishing the person with the greater net worth at the end, which is typically the man.
Account for each person’s total assets before marriage. If the marriage dissolves, the total accumulated assets DURING the marriage is split 50/50, and each leaves with their half of accumulated assets plus exactly what they entered into the marriage with. No other awards or payments. Prenuptial agreements should be universally recognized and 100% enforceable as written and agreed to unless BOTH parties agree to dissolve it.
Additionally, child custody should AUTOMATICALLY default to 50/50, and child support payments shouldn’t be mandated by law at all. If one parent can’t care for the kids without support from the other, then they forfeit custody and the more capable parent gets full custody.
Paternity should be established upon birth or earlier if any agreement for pregnancy support should be established. Any false allegations of paternity should be treated as crimes of fraud or attempted fraud.
The problem, as with almost every facet of the US legal and economic system, is that there are BILLIONS at stake. Courtships, weddings, marriages and divorces are a HUGE money maker from start to finish. Do you really think all the people and organizations profiting to the tune of millions are just going to give up all that easy money? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
