It's also fucking mental the amount of inefficiency there is in local administration. I used to export building materials to the Caribbean for wealthy Americans building homes to avoid residency tax. Now I live in SE Asia and most of the people I meet in my Condo/Resort complex have or still run businesses in the US and have left to avoid residency tax. The wealth/brain drain in the US is real.
