This is unfortunately news to way too many millions of people, but this dude has been full of shit all along. None of it has been honest. All the reasons they told you were the case of your perceived problems in life, that led you to have the worldview you had and to support MAGA as a counterpunch…none of that was true. You’re throwing punches at an invisible opponent and all the people who haven’t been conned are just staring in disbelief as you swing and flail and have a fistfight with thin air. Haitians were never eating your pets, schools never put kitty litter boxes in bathrooms, no kids “went to school as Timmy and came home as Tammy.” There was no Deep State, none of the Q-Anon bullshit was true, and the idea of these assholes “draining the swamp” is about as bright as blowing up a bathroom and sending a skunk in to cover it up, lmao. That stuff was all horseshit, all of it; that was all part of the con.

A lot of people still won’t openly admit that; it’ll always be something else. Or they’ll come up with some story about how the left was “just too crazy”, because they don’t want to just let people get bullied and disadvantaged in our society🙄 Mark Twain said “It’s much easier to fool a man than it is to convince a man he’s been fooled.”

But deep down, they know. They know they were the mark, and they know in a lot of cases what and who they sacrificed in order to be it. And then it’s just cognitive dissonance in action when they can’t process the trauma of their own mistake. But on some level, they know; and WE all know, more importantly.

I think many of them are going to rightly just go and sit the fuck down for a while. So many of these people were never politically active, they still don’t REALLY care about or understand the workings of politics beyond a few slogans and talking points, and they must know they’re over their heads intellectually, so maybe they’ll just go back to their Mountain Dew Code Reds and Cool Ranch Doritos and just stay the fuck away from sitting at the adult table. They can be bigoted without voting, and without assholes like MAGA making them think they have permission to be overt douchebags, they’ll hopefully be more quiet and leave politics to the grown-ups who aren’t just here for the carnival atmosphere. If nothing else, this is the most unserious political movements in terms of the voters that we’ve ever seen…. and that’s just one of the more polite superlatives they’ve earned.

Democrats can’t do much the next two years beyond slam the brakes on this egregiously out of control political movement. The Big Beautiful Bill was very deliberately set up to not kick in until 2027, AFTER the midterms. That serves a dual purpose of not hurting Republicans going into the midterms, and more importantly and more obviously, to blame the impending negative effects of that bill on Democrats should the Republicans lose. They know hospitals and medical centers are going to close, and come the ‘28 campaigns, the Republicans will lead with “Look how everything went to hell after the Dems took over!”

THAT’S the biggest job Democrats have the next two years: make it WELL-KNOWN that all of the suffering is BBB fall-out, and don’t let Republicans get away for a SECOND claiming it’s the left’s fault. Hammer that messaging in real time as the impacts hit. “Hospitals are closing in these rural red areas. We can’t stop it; Trump did that. Don’t let anyone tell you differently here. Here’s temporary solution X/Y/Z that we worked out in partnership with all these Democratic governors. But the only way to fix this is to blow these bozos out of the water again and give us control in ‘28 to fix this shit in ‘29.”

Beyond that: investigations. America is in need of seeing what these people were really up to, and expose what I’m sure is unimaginable corruption that’s crazy even by politician standards. Give immunity to certain people and get under-oath testimonies in Congress. Impeachment, no impeachment, WHATEVER. I just want the truth out there; punishment is secondary. I just need everyone to see what was actually going on, and who and what they were supporting. Except Stephen Miller. I want Pee-Wee German buried UNDER the jail.

And release the goddamn Epstein Files in full already. We can all make a gentleman’s agreement to not keep political score, even. I don’t care. Put pedos in prison, no matter who they are. If we can’t agree on that, we don’t deserve a society. But enough with all this stupid evasiveness. I think the victims deserve better, and that’s who this is supposed to be all about, not a political football to spike in anyone’s face.

I was pleasantly surprised by the magnitude of this but not by the occurrence of it. I was expecting it just not at the level it actually happened. Trump's behavior was so outrageous. This pretty much had to happen.
