How to handle embarrassement working in retail after graduating from school?

I am graduating from my major (BS) and all I have is an internship. I will be working full time but I will also want to work a cashier/retail job to pay off student loans and put to graduate school. The thing is I am embarrassed if and when my classmate see me. I used to work in high end retail when I was 18 and I gave it up to follow my dream. The problem is the market is crappy. I just feel really embarrassed that while my classmates are project engineer, I am an intern and working in retail...I am hoping to work in stocking (so no one see me) but I am sure eventually they will figure out that I am pretty good at sales and put me on the floor. Advice? I am guess I am just too embarrassed to work so hard in my major and am back to what I could have done when I was 18...
