I think it's too revealing not by cultural standards but by the focus/male attention on her boobs. Of course everything is pushed up by a wonder bra, but not many people can tell.


However, I think a lot of girls don't notice what men look at so they feel that showing cleavage without revealing the nipples is not that provocative.


As an outsider though, I see right away where men's eyes go...

But by the time university rolls around, who cares anyway? We're all adults here. Nothing wrong with a bit of cleavage. It's not like it's high school and she's wearing these tops to class every day.

What's too revealing in class is something that, for instance, will be low-cut in the chest, and high-cut in the butt. One should wear what they feel comfortable in. Anyway, your friend's dress shows cleavage, but not a ton of boobage. So by my books it hasn't lost a sort of "professionalism". If your boobs are spilling out, that may be considered unprofessional and you may not be taken as seriously. But ordinary cleavage is nothing to freak out about. However, OK, every day may be overkill. But to each their own.

About your update, I respect your opinion, but remember that what you find too revealing, your friend does not. She may not notice when a guy is looking, but she knows they're looking. She's not stupid. She knows full well what she's doing. Women have different comfort zones with clothes. Like some people are comfortable taking the lead during a presentation, while others are more reserved. It doesn't make reserved ones less confident; they just have different preferences in presentation.

This particular outfit is nothing but showing off and making yourself stand out. It's one of those fancy girls that need to be noticed.

The outfit is just too much for class and she's overdressing. I knew a couple of girls that would always wear something that catches everyone's eye, not necessarily because she looks good in it, or is sexy in it, but mainly because she looks weird in it and people can't comprehend someone would come dressed like that, looking that silly, and often still appear confident.

It's not that bad
