Is my girlfriend's roommate jealous?

I've been dating a girl for a little over a year now. A little over six months ago her roommate took a mini vacation, and my girlfriend kept asking when she would be back. She kept getting I don't know and I saw this as an opportunity to get closer. Doing so worked in our favor and now me and my girlfriend have complete trust over one another.

Downside. Her roommate, that has never expeirenced being in love with someone comes back and expects her world to be center of attention. My girlfriend has tried to get her troommate to be with a guy, but makes excuses of how she can't be tied down with someone with someone. All because she has so much going on and the guy won't understand.

Couple days ago my girlfriend lets her know I'm coming over and be prepared. This was done not to blind sight her but she wanted my girlfriend to go visit her friends grandfather in the nursing home. My girlfriend chose me and when her roommate came back completely ignored us. Wasn't until the next day that she acknowled us and it was negative of how my girlfriend won't spend time with her roommate doing excersise with her, but she'll do it with me.

Next day after my girlfriend gets done with dinner my girlfriend is going upstairs and her roommate blurts out "There you go off to talk to your boyfriend again." And my girlfriend is like "No I'm actually going to workout, you're welcome to join me if you wish. Her roommate joins her.

But now me and girlfriend are wondering if her roommate is jealous of me? All this behavior is uncalled for. And we try to include her in things but she makes excuses. My question is this roommate jealous or is something else going on she isn't not talking about?

Yes, it sounds like jealousy to me. Your girlfriend is spending most of her free time with you now and her roommate may feel left out of your girlfriends life now.

It's not your fault though and it's not your girlfriend's fault. Sometimes things like this just happen. Your girlfriend's roommate will get over it eventually.

I hope so. We're trying to help her roommate but the behavior does is very direct and passively aggreisve. I just worry this will affect us if and when we move in together. :/

Honestly, don't worry about her. You can't control her actions, all you can do is control how you react to her. Why would it bother you if you move in together? You wouldn't be living with her roommate, would you? Because yes, that would be somewhat awkward.

We'd all be living together under the same roof. Wouldn't be in the same room, but her roommate is making this transion harder for all of us. I consider her roommate a friend too even if she is distant. And its like "We're trying to getting use to used to having me be in the same house hold. Keep this behavior up aand we'll be moving out together sooner than you expect."

Yeah. I understand that. Her roommate sounds very childish. I think you should just do your best to ignore her immature behavior.

Agreed I can do it with me but when its my girlfriend who her roommate considers her best friend? I get a little upset I won't lie. And worst is the roommate won't talk about it directly to those she gets upset at. It's disturbing and concerning to say but it's almost like she wants someone to yell at her and order around? :/

Yeah. Sounds like she just has issues. I understand getting upset but you shouldn't let it affect your relationship with your girlfriend.

Of course she's jealous. She's upset at the loss of her friend to you. It happens. She'll get over it, eventually.

She wants her friend back, let her have that time with her friend without YOU in the picture. You are being selfish in not giving them that time alone together.

Uh huh...How do you figure? I spend it with my girlfriend 2 days (maybe 3) while her roommate gets 5 days.
