In my area, I'm seeing stores steeply lowering prices of some grocery items, making them more competitive with other grocers or even cheaper.

My suspicion is peeked given the timing to "change perception". There could be other drivers leading to such changes.

Cost of food... inflation... is a huge factor mentality.

Are you seeing prices changing... lower? Do you think the fed is "greasing the wheels" of the economy to make things look good, to distort the election?

Anyone work in the grocery world to help explain it works?

In other news... Gold topped $2400 an oz... first time in history! Real money... is going up, fake money, going down. Hard to believe prices of other real things are going down... when fertilizer, feed, etc... going up.

That’s a sacred law not to attack embassies. Which is why I’m skeptical. Wouldn’t be surprised though.

I am speaking of the United States more specifically, but my Canadian friends can feel free to chime in about the state of their nation too.

I believe there has been a major cultural shift within the past 10-15 years in the United States.

Between the political polarization, massive illegal immigration, radical socialist policies and ideals, government corruption, a two-tiered justice system, and more, it feels almost unrecognizable.

Keep in mind the US was around 70-something percent non-hispanic white in 2010, and that has dropped dramatically. We all know we have major foreign influences infiltrating the United States, bringing alternative political ideals. Sure, change is inevitable, but the sudden surge in change has been difficult to adjust to.

I am also tired of the LGBTQRSTUV... propaganda. It is in-your-face forceful. I believe everyone should be whoever they want and endure the consequences that accompany that, but no one should be forced to accept, encourage, or embrace someone else's life choices, especially if it goes against one's own beliefs, whether personal or religious. The needs of the few should not outweigh the needs of the many. Everyone should be able to peacefully voice their opposition, regardless of what political party or opinions those beliefs align with. No one should fear being canceled, retaliated against violently, intimidated, expelled from college, etc... for expressing their genuine beliefs.

And if it's false, then that means that women's actions are always flawless

Many people excuse a politician lying by saying “all politicians lie,” so how much dishonesty do you tolerate in a candidate before he loses your support?

Will the far right or the far left ever admit that they are wrong or change their mind on issues such as climate change, free trade, taxes, immigration policy, military policy even if they are shown facts that counter their beliefs?

Here's a typical argument with a political extremist:

• He makes a point.
• I make a counterpoint.
• He says I'm wrong.
• I present research or facts to back up counterpoint.
• He says I'm listening to lamestream lying media/Faux News and my facts are wrong.
• I ask him to prove they're wrong.
• Instead of trying to prove me wrong with facts and research, he insults me and/or says he won't waste his time on me.

The only people who have ever blocked me on GAG did so over political diagreements where they could not refute my points

There’re actually TWO. The first is the brutality of being on death row. Usually isolation, not much stimulation. It’s actually crimes against humanity… But whatevs…. right?

The 2nd Phenomenon is: Prisoners getting a Stay and transfer to a Life Sentence. The prisoner is REBORN and goes on to get education degrees and other attributes.

Basically it’s looking down the barrel of a gun and then being given mercy.

My question: WHY can’t people see this before they commit crime?

How can we get people to care before they’re looking at death?

Men and women are completely equal in the USA. Women and become men and vice versa. If this is the case shouldn't women be eligible for the draft and register for selective service? If not why?
