Embarrassed to wear a cup for baseball?

Well, I'll be playing in a baseball team for a tournament, I'll be playing 2B/SS, I feel good playing at any of these positions.

However, I don't want to wear a cup! My girlfriend told me she'll come to see every game, and I'll be embarrassed that she will know that I need protection for my groin. I don't want her to think I'm not manly enough to play cup-less. I don't know if I should wear it or not.

What do you think?

Bro, you want to field hot grounders up the middle with no cup? I play hockey, I have to stand in front of slap shots, you better believe I have a cup on for that, we all do. When I played football, some of my semipro teammates didn’t wear one, and I thought it was crazy. Saw one of my teammates go down, and the agony he was in, my stomach started to turn because I was expecting to see some catastrophic broken bone or something…. nope, just caught a helmet to the pills, and he was rolling around on the ground looking like a little bitch, if we’re being honest. You don’t want to be that guy in front of your lady if you’re worried about looking manly. And Christ, if anyone should have a vested interest in the health and well being of your junk beyond yourself, it’s her, haha.

If I had a boyfriend who played a sport where it was advised to wear one, then I would want him to do so.

Honestly, I'd be mad at my boyfriend if he was injured whereas he was told to wear a cup.
I wouldn't feel you are manly if playing without a cup but rather misplaced pride and even stupidity
