How can you keep individual sports fun when you need to be hyper critical if you want to improve?

The combination of me being a loner that is very competitive has awlays pushed me to try individual sports. The issue is in the last year my new interist in disc golf has driven me to never be satisfield even though i am improving. Whether it is a 4 hour practice session of throwing in a field, a live round, or a 2 hour putting session the mistakes make me more sad then my successes. For example I shot a solid round today and had a good throwing session after, but I recall a bad drive on hole 13 that has me in a bad mood I can't shake.
