Should we have naked sports like the ancient Greeks?

In the ancient Greek Olympics, athletes famously competed naked to show off their physique, celebrate the human body, and intimidate their opponent. Should we still do this today? What sports would be the best / worst naked?

I think it would make it more fun both men and women look good naked in my opinion when they are fit so I see no issues. Wrestling would become interesting though but supposedly the Spartans wrestled naked even potentially with the opposite sex so back then it was normal to do thing naked.
Men would definitely be in pain during wrestling and come other events though that would be a liability

I think it would be fun for sure. Sports like swimming make sense to be be naked. Gymnastics would be my favorite to see naked haha, and I'm sure volleyball would see a big spike (pun intended) in viewers too. But distance running would be hard to do without a sports bra (and maybe a jockstrap for guys), so they would either need to allow some clothing for support in some sports, or the athletes with the smaller private parts would dominate 😂

Yes, but not naked men like the Ancient Greeks, only the women should compete naked as I think it is widely agreed that the female form is more aesthetically appealing. Women sometimes say that they want more naked men in the media out of fairness. Nevertheless you can accuse me of mansplaining or whatever you want, but if women liked the male form that much they would love dick picks. If I am incorrect than tell me how.

It would certainly be fun to watch! But maybe having certain support garments would help for sports with lots of running, jumping, etc. The worst sports would be fencing, boxing, and others that require protective gear. @paige90 probably knows best about which sports you can play naked!

I don't really like sports, but if you could be naked while practicing then I that would probably be enough incentive for me to sign up; as a nudist, I feel far more comfortable naked. So if doing it naked becomes accepted/normal, then I'll gladly sign up to go swimming or running.

If we disregard today's nudity standards - yes I think that makes a lot of sense! More organic and natural, but sports would have to be adapted - running in the grass instead of being on a track, etc. Women might need sports bras for the running sports though

Americans and their fear of nudity would be a big hurdle! I do agree some things would have to be modified. BUT most nudist do use shoes when required. Most athletic women are small chested. And guys penis shrinks during endurance. I think some sports would require some protection such as the male cup. Maybe there could be a Greek game all the original games done nude with all the original traditions.

@josephinelcajon I'm athletic and not small chested! But its true that many are - tennis has a lot of larger chested women. Which sports could not be done without a testicle cup? Boxing and martial arts?

Baseball. Boxing and martial arts do not use a cup. I looked at the list baseball called "hardball" in the Olympics is the only one surprisingly that would require on. There have been a few incidents just this year where a cup saved the day! I do not think winter sports would be reasonable.

@josephinelcajon baseball makes sense, but why don't martial arts and boxing use them? It seems dangerous to fight and kick people with your balls flying around 😂

Perhaps more natural as its reduces the whole specialist clothing aspect. But it would mean big changes on how to do the sports I'm sure. And a big change in levels of shyness!

I grew up going to nudist resorts with my parents. We would play volleyball, tennis, basketball, and kickball fully nude. It was pretty fun!

I believe then people would be too much focused on their bodies and not on the competition itself. So no.

Women for sure would make me want to see the Olympics. Men I don't want to see them naked.
