71/72 was when the EPA got the auto industry in a stranglehold, so cars were pretty gutless after that. I don’t know the numbers but that Torino would’ve had AT MOST half the power of a 69 charger

Well! If we are taking the cars in a very good condition for a drive, i would say the 69 Dodge wins but not by much. I would be gussing between 3 to 5 seconds differences.

General. The grand torino wasn't exactly fast.

Actually I believe the Torino weighed more by a 1/4 of a ton

The Charger weighed in at 1785 Kg, The Torino was 1778 Kg. They are about the same.

The spec sheets I read said driverless but nothing about passengers. My mother had one and it had the 302 V8 and it was a rocket. Starsky and Hutch had the 351 Cleveland engine with 4 barrel Holley carb. That thing must fly.
