Supposedly, Joe Rogan has the "World Record" strongest kick. I watched a video of him working out on a heavy bag, and he cannot even kick as hard as I can kick right now, and I haven't' even practiced kicking a bag continually in a long time. I met a guy working out down the street the other day, and he let me punch and kick his bag some to demonstrate some concepts to him since i was primarily a striker while he was primarily a grappler (BJJ black belt). I was able to kick his hanging bag and standing water bag harder than Joe Rogan on the first try. Unpracticed, haven't done a full hour of bag work in one session in nearly 23 years.
Furthermore, when I first trained Karate, I studied under (then 4th Dan) Michael Storms. I saw with my own eyes him kick a hanging water bag of 300lbs weight on the bottom and make the bottom fly up in an arc on the chain and the bottom of the bag HIT a 9 or 10 foot ceiling. It was his front thrust/push kick, which some people incorrectly think is weaker than a roundhouse.
I'm not going to claim Sensei Storms had the best kick either. I think my second Sensei, Mark Myers (then 4th Dan now 7th Dan,) he probably could kick even harder than Sensei Storms (Now Grand Master 9th Dan).
It's preposterous that people declare "world records" of things like this, when guys who work out even harder than Joe Rogan didn't always have a camera watching them 24/7 and maybe didn't realize they were in fact world record or close to world record on something liek that, and probably would be the record holder or at least prove Joe Rogan wrong.
I might go film myself down at the dojo in a few days, depending on what their equipment needs are at the moment.
Seriously, I have diabetic nerve damage, and yet I'm positive I can still kick harder than Joe Rogan, and both of my sensei's could sure as hell kick harder than him.

Oh man…this reads like some Karate Kid fanfic. If they’re so sure they could break the record, then they could probably just phone in to whoever keeps track of that stuff and stake their claim.
No they didn't' say that. I'm saying that. I saw it with my own eyes. I can show you the video of Joe Rogan working out on a bag no bigger than 300lbs and he's barely even moving it with his roundhouse.
When he supposedly set the record, he was using an electronic force meter. That is not the best way to measure force. The best way to measure force of a kick is on a heavy bag and use a metric ruler and high speed camera to measure the displacement of the bag when hit: The way Mythbusters wouuld do it.
Great, then break the record or find someone to break it. Easy. His practice videos probably aren’t him going 100%.
This is nothing. I can kick a 225 pound standing water bag and send it flying 10 feet across the dojo. Kicking a Welterweight and forcing him back 2 steps is NOTHING to me. I can kick a heavyweight and make him CRY if I want to... through the pads.

I'll put it on video someday, depending on what they have available to train with at this new dojo I'm joining on February 2.
Mark Myers and Michael Storms are both in their middle 50's now. I doubt they can kick as hard as wehn they were 30 years old, but who knows. I don't have Mark's contact information, he only does private seminars, but I can get Mike's from the internet.
By the way, that's probably a 300 pound bag too, but it's designed differently than Mike's bag. Mike's bag was thicker and shorter, but hung about as low as that one from either a 9 or 10 ft ceiling, and Mike front thrust kicked it and made the bottom of the bag hit the ceiling. I was 12 or 13 years old at the time I saw this with my own eyes.
This is my first Sensei's dojo in Mandeville, Louisiana.
His students are obviously winning everything in competition.
You might be right, but the "record" was done on an electronic force meter, and those things are not always reliable, unless it was literally calibrated just before the "record" kick. Understand?
I worked Quality Assurance for 2 years earlier in my life, and people don't realize you are supposed to recalibrate any measuring instrument EVERY time you take a measurement. Kicking an electronic device does not necessarily prove anything unless it was literally calibrated 30 seconds ago.
Yeah this is similar to how I see a multiple self claimed "World Champions" every year in various martial arts
