Absolutely nothing, it’s always been a thing for a number of European sporting teams to have players born elsewhere, for example the Netherlands used to predominantly use players born in Indonesia. There are also a large number of players born in other European countries for example Netherlands had Bruno Martins Indi, who was born in Portugal but played for Netherlands national team in football. This has went on for likely a 100 years.
