Are the Yankees gonna get swept?

Usually I would've been so mad about the umpire blatantly trying to help the Yankees out by stealing a run at homeplate and giving them a free out. The Dodgers would've probably scored 7 runs without that intervention. But I wasn less mad this time because I knew the Dodgers were not gonna blow a 4-0 lead. So I went to bed bed after 6 innings cause I've been staying up way too late to watch these games and I wanted to try and correct that a bit.

Against the Mets the Dodgers basically punted the 2 games they lost because they felt in control and didn't wanna waste resources on games that were gonna be tough to come back in so instead they just took the L and then crushed them in the next game. I do think if the Yankees score like 3 runs in the first 3 innings the dodgers might punt this game 4 especially because the umps are gonna try even harder this time to make sure the Yankees win a game. But then game 5 they're gonna burry them. However the Yankees have been so bad that I think it's very possible they blow it and lose in 4 even with home crowd and umpire advantage and a bullpen game from the Dodgers.

But I do think it's obnoxious in American sports that the refs just start messing with the game to prolong series it's so disgusting. In basketball it's even worse than this but this was one of the worst calls I've seen. The announcer immediately called him safe because he forgot about the whole fuckery and how much money is on the line then later he had to be more vague that it could be either way.

They lost 4-1 just like I expected :) I didn't expect game 5 to be so wild, but in the end score of the series was accurate to the level of these teams.

I've stopped following "baseball" since the abominable recent rule changes, but umpires do still have very deleterious effects on important games.

I found it. There was one more angle where you could see that his hand was on the plate and the catcher is also not allowed to block the plate anyway. I understand how the ump on the field got it wrong because he was behind the catcher and didn't see anything but they should have 1 million percent overturned it on the review but they didn't lol And they had 0 outs and they would have been up 4-0 and had 2 men on base still. But instead they only scored one run from this inning because of this call.

My dad is from Canada and I played some baseball like a for fun league with a bunch of expats from the u. s. but I never got into watching the game but then Ohtani came along and now I just have to watch his games cause he's that good. He's like on a Tom Brady, Steph Curry, Lionel Messi, Roger Federer, Usain Bolt Tiger Woods kind of level :) He's been struggling a bit in the postseason but there's no doubt for me that he'll be the best player ever.

I like sports in general I used to watch American football a lot too, now I just watch highlights sometimes I lost interest a bit. I watched NBA too but I'm watching that less too now. Right now baseball is interesting me :)
