Why aren’t sites like Bestgore. com banned/taken down?

The fact that it’s so easily accessible with more kids online nowadays is chilling.

For the most part because most of the content isn’t illegal to show. That’s not always true - bestgore’s site owner/admin has pleaded guilty to criminal charges once over a video posted.

Generally however these are essentially “news” videos that most news agencies would choose not to run (and perhaps wouldn’t be allowed to broadcast on cable).

That's why parental controls are needed for children. Set up a whitelist or whatever, you can't expect the government to take care of every single thing that may be harmful to some people.
Gore can be fun sometimes. You have all the normal generic stuff on YouTube, leave alone the interesting parts of the internet.

Some sites are left up because they allow the authorities to monitor the activities of certain types of people. A site existing doesn't mean that it is either tolerated or off the radar.

In a way, I think stuff like that showcases our own fragile mortality and can remind people why they should be careful when driving or operating heavy machinery...

Plus, it doesn't really harm anyone (besides possibly children,) and I don't know why children would seek out gore, it's not exactly easy to accidentally stumble onto gore either.

because it's everybodies own responsibility to not enter sites with stuff that's not ok for them to see.

this is a hard task for parents. they have to educate their children on proper behavior or if they can't, they have to just not let them on the internet at all.

people need to police their own kids. they have parental controls available to them to restrict a kids acces to adult site. i do not think censorship is the answer and sets an unhealthy precedent for authorities to censor everything

we need laws to take this stuff down and filter for kids so they are on lock down. internet is a mess... wild west creating big problems.
