One part of its many functions it was used to set your engine timing for peak performance
Second part. It was used to set your points in your distributor

Dwell tach meter. Use it to check the gap on the points and set the idle speed on the carb. Put a tming light with this thing and you can do a tune up.
Thanks for MHO!
Used one for many many years on older cars.

I have one, I also know what points are lol.
I've owned a few old cars, a 49 Chevy styline, a corvair, Im working on a 62 Nova right now.
Its all I will own, 1970s and older. Today's stuff is junk to me
Yes, I have used one of these. The last time I used it was when I wanted to put my old tachometer on my riding lawnmower. I had to figure out which wire was the trigger and it was easier to do it with this meter.
Ah itโs also a dwell meter for setting the points, I still have an actual dwell meter and timing light
Um... fuel it with plutonium and reach 88 miles per hour?
Nope. I can use a timing light, but thankfully points have gone the way of the dinosaurs
I still buy points for my distributors for all my cars
I know what it is, but NEVER did my own car tuning, ergo I have NO IDEA how to use it!😂🤣👍
