Does anyone know what Telegram is?

I've ha a few people ask me to contact them on Telegram but, I have no idea what it is (other than what Western Union has been putting out for at least the past 100 years).

I do not think there are telegrams any more. They were big in the old days. It was a form of communication that was like a letter you sent but it was hand delivered and instead of going through the US mail, you had telegraph operators that would send the message using International Code.

Those, I know about. Apparently, there's some kind of application like whatsapp and FB that's called, Telegram.

It's a messaging app. Kinda like WhatsApp and bbm. But has some better features.
Phone number isn't required to be shared to get connected to someone.
You can subscribe to various channels as your interest

A telegram is nothing more then a received telegram. In the old days it was done with Morse Code over wires, then radios came. That made it wireless.

It's just like WhatsApp but it's known to be much better for privacy when compared to WhatsApp. You can use it on both pc and mobile.
