Does anyone else have this fear that with airpods, someone can just steal them out of your ear?
Someone can steal anything. The real concern is losing one of them, which happens a lot and makes the rest of the parts worthless - and you can't buy individual replacements.
The other problem is that the batteries are not replaceable - even Apple just throws old ones away. AirPods last 2-3 years at best, and then you have to buy new ones.
Meanwhile, I have wired headphones that are 20 years old, and they are better than any consumer earbuds you can buy today (excluding pro or semi-pro IEMs).
Having said that, the noise canceling feature is worth having at times.

I do not have that fear, although I wouldn't expect them to last long before something goes wrong (most likely the batteries).
Besides, I care about sound quality, and I already have a pair of wired earphones that sound way better (I'm sure some other brands make decent wireless earphones these days, but I'm not about to pay hundreds of pounds for them).
Wires are less annoying than the weight airpods have.
Impulse amplifiers built in ear pods shouldn't drain on inbuilt batteries too much that's why 500$ airpods have worse sound quality than 50$ wired ear plugs. If you don't have the need to brag with your gadgets, there is no real argument for airpods.
I like wired even though i always break the cord off of one of the earphones. The wire gets irritating but they never fall out of my ears like tthe cordless ones

I use an iPhone 8. I have used iPhones for a while now. I also use iPads. However, I have never seen the need to pay a super premium for something like AirPods or a watch. I use a product from a company called jlabs and love them. YES, I could afford to buy a new iOS device most anytime I desire. I am thrifty, not stupid!
I have wireless earbuds, just because it's very convenient. I didn't spend much on them, because I'm afraid that I will drop one and lose it somewhere.
I spent about $35 on my xiaomi earbuds. The sound quality might not be the best it can be, but it is enough for someone who use them far from every day.i just buy cheap alternatives to airpods. there's no reason to pay 150 bucks for mediocre sounding headphones. and for the 25-50 bucks i pay for them, i don't care as much about them being stolen.
I have to tape them into my ears with bandage tape or they fall out into my helmet. lol Hate the unwired.
Same thought with the addition of being more expensive and can fall from your ears and get broken. You also need to charge them frequently.
Wired for me.Well they're going to be pretty bold to steal them out of your ear for me they better know how to run fast
I think the radiation causes some amount of brain inflammation at least. Nobody wants an inflamed foggy brain.
Never mind there are mountains of evidence that the radiation is disastrous to us.
I prefer the airpods since they're much more convenient for spots. I don't have the cable jiggling to my boobs etc

I like wired. If I want wireless, I'll just use a Bluetooth.
I prefer the wired ones because they allow for a more high quality listening experience.
Why would someone steal them when they don't have the charging case? I also had that fear but I still bought some. They're not airpods though just normal wireless headphones.
Airpods can't really compare with proper headphones or quality earphones
Wireless/Bluetooth, wired ones the door handles, or anything just makes them go around them, and when I walk through the door the wires just make the wires go off my ears.
I used to have a pair that was a mix of both. It was wired, but it didn’t plug into a device. That was pretty Tip Top but then it broke somehow. I might try completely wireless ones
I bought a pair of earpods and one of them died. I went back to the wired ones.
I wear wireless earphones as I always would break my wired ear phones easily as the wire won't break over time.
Wired because they offer higher sound quality, have no latency, and have better price:value.
Vote C - neither. I’ve tried both and they keep falling out of my ears. 🤬
I use my grandfather's old Seinheiser HD520's.
still love my wired. Even though I got wireless
