How many people wish they had an external keyboard and monitor to use with their laptop?

I have a very nice Asus laptop that I use for work that has a full (but smaller) keyboard and a fairly high-res 15" screen.

I hate using it as the keyboard is too small for my hands and the screen feels very small as well.

Today I ordered an external mechanical USB keyboard, and I am looking into an external larger monitor (I have a 32" OLED 4K graphics monitor on my desktop machine).

To be fair, the original purpose of a laptop was only as a portable device you use between switching to desktops. Hence why keyboards and screens for them have not improved in all but high end models.

I've rarely used a laptop without a KVM and peripherals. I just hate the positioning of the screens and the keyboards of all laptops are an RSI risk.

I never wished for that, but I did set up one of my laptops as a desktop when the screen died. So that’s essentially what you’re doing.

I like Macbook keyboards, since they have gotten quieter now and the Mac trackpad is my favorite since it's large. I do use a 2nd monitor, 24' sometimes for build work.

devices are worst. I might get an external keyboard and screen for my smartphone... lol

I do that, because my laptop screen is busted. So I removed the screen and use external monitor and keyboard and hide the laptop out of the way

At work I have 2 monitors and a big keyboard for my laptop. My personal laptop I don't care.

I do all my work on my desktop and tablet, for that exact reason

I use a USB hub and run my laptop folded with external keyboard and mouse.
