You kinda do. You don't have a bluray but you still have flash storage with a corruptible file system that potentially needs a repair every now and again.

I am not sure who posted that nonsense. But the PS5 is simply a computer with souped up graphics, sound, etc. It has an OS that is boots off the SD drive that is internal.

It functions just like your pc. It is just customized for playing games. But I am sure you could turn it into a linux computer if you wanted to.
