Apple is forced to switch to USB type C, but still keeps its slow charging speeds?

Regardless of Apples intentions or any manufacturer for that matter lithium batteries are very temperamental and don’t like to be rushed the charge rate is fundamentally governed by the amps the battery accepts per hour to full capacity or the C Rating. The chemicals and metals inside the battery are really fussy and don’t like to negotiate that number much.
Long story short rapid changing means stuffing electrons into the battery at a rate that breaches the battery’s rating, the result is shorter battery life and unstable performance and sometimes unpredictable which I think is Apples main concern unlike the software they are very conservative when it comes to hardware.
This, while true, is also irrelevant. The entire rest of the market figured out how to fast-charge smartphone batteries a decade ago, and it's very mature technology. Apple doesn't do it because they can't make money doing it unless they make it proprietary, so that's what they've done.
As it is, it's insane that Apple never updated the Lightning system to support USB 3 speeds, but to not FINALLY upgrade this when they were ultimately FORCED to upgrade to a USB C connector is simply Apple intentionally screwing their customers - as is requiring the "MFI" cables to get better (but still not GOOD) performance in charging and data.
But Apple people are sheep, and they'll keep paying premium money for ancient tech, because Apple. And in 2 or 3 years, when Apple finally upgrades the speed to USB 3.0 speeds, Apple customers will be convinced that they have something that no one else has, because Apple made an amazing new breakthrough. And people who use other phones will laugh at them, as usual.
Fast charging can reduce the overall life of the battery somewhat, but it doesn't increase the speed of discharge - that's going to be based on the draw of the device. Lithium batteries (the types used in smartphones) have relatively tiny self-discharge, enough to be irrelevant given the draw of the device that is typically always on - something not true of your drone.
Apple has access to the best tech in the world - if they wanted to, they could easily support fast charging with no issues - they just want to force you to use systems they fully control so they can monetize them.

In the land of Apple all you have to do is switch off the clean energy setting & say farewell to slow charging if your device has that option.
Apple products suck. Right from when Steve jobs took over again and we had those home computers with bright colors, or the i-pod or i-phone, i-fit or i-watch. Its like have a shiny new sports car that gives less performance than a cheaper saloon.
Don't buy products from corporations who treat their customers like imbeciles. Apple does that since years.

While some of the products are good, Apple as a company sucks. The 2012 MacBook Pro A1258 hardware can easily run Big Sur and Monterey, but Apple blocks them from normal direct upgrading. I've used third party cables and chargers for several years without a problem. Apple will lie and tell you can't so that they can charge you their 1000% markup.
Charging the battery slowly makes it last longer before needing to be charged again.
Lightning cables were one of the ways to keep malware off the device and app store.
This is one if those situations where the customers are actually harmful to tech directon. Another is buying phones with no headphone jack.
MagSafe wireless charging is always fastest way to charge the newer iPhones, i barely ever use lightning, like at airports and planes at this rate.
Apple wants you to buy their replacement cables, not third party ones, so they make it slower.
Consumers are always in power. If people stop using their products, they will adjust.
Not when the lawyers and legislators get involved. How much cocaine is in a can of Coke these days?
You mean the idiots in suits? Have you seen them discuss tiktok? If they wanted cocaine in cola, it would be there. They have billions if not trillions to spend on lobbying.
But if we're talking coke, this only further proves my point. Look up what law made them stop putting cocaine in. There's none. The public pressured them into it.
Apple will always come up with a plan to take money from the sheep's, and this is one of them.
Planned obsolescence mixed with slow technological advancements per release - it's a never ending source of income.
if thats the case, Im going to just replace the battery to my phone and not do the updates
Apple is an evil empire.
Mine works great
I care as much about it as you.
Probably
