How many years do you think it will be before we are thrown into back to the 1700s if we loose electricity for good?

Say the power grid goes down permanently. How long do you take before people are force to live like its the 1700s

That's of course if you live though the riots, looting and murders.

All the frozen meats and food spoils. No electric to keep it the food cold.

All the available gas and diesel is gone, because you need electric to power the pumps

Speaking pumps, what about the water pumps. 90% of people will be without water

Millions of cattle will dry up and not give milk, because they depend on the milking machines to milk them. That's not including the machines that feed them to.

There will be no computers, no cellphones, no electric cars, no televisions, no Internet, no hospitals (because they depend on electricity to), no fuel pumps working at the gas stations, no water

Do you realize how fucked the world is if electricity is gone for good?

Sure your you can try wind, solar, flowing water to generate electricity. But it will not produce enough for our current needs.

Not as long for me as it would be for you. Without electricity, I can't run my CPAP, and with central sleep apnea as bad as mine, well...

If going to sleep meant risking that you'd wake up blind or deaf or paralyzed or dead, every single night, how would that affect YOU? What if that risk was only for the serious stuff, and you'd be guaranteed MINOR brain damage every single night, left to helplessly languish as you slowly slid into slight, then moderate, then crippling retardation, as piece after piece of your brain died?

I'd hold out as best I could, but it wouldn't be too long before I called it a day, and I make no bones about it.

I have heard a prediction that it would only take about two weeks to be in the start of a “Mad Max “ movie situation. Without an electrical grid.

Frozen meats? The fishing industry, livestock industry, and hunting are all being cancelled while China is taking over our produce industry. We'll all be lucky to have any food at all.

The Netherlands is a step ahead of us and has already banned the use of gas in homes. The newest law says that any new construction (remodels and new homes) will not be allowed to have electricity.

Well I mean electricity is a natural force we can harvest... there will always be SOME electricity. You can build a turbine and hook it to some batteries. I know people that have hooked their bikes into a series of cells just to throw a couple watts back in when they exercise (on top of their windmills/waterwheels and solar array. Are we going to play xbox for 8 hours every day on a 100 inch screen with 8 speaker dolby atmos? probably not, but we're not going to be moving into caves and eating our pets either.
