Should internet companies be forced to give customers free internet or a discount on our bills, everytime the internet goes down and we can't use it?

Yes I know there is life away from your internet. I'm talking about the fact when internet goes down and customers are left without internet for hours, sometimes days and they still make us pay the full bill.

Out internet goes down multiple times a month, internet provider always acknowledges the fault is on their end, yet they never give us a discount for them leaving us without internet for days.

Should internet companies be forced to give customers free internet or a discount on our bills, everytime the internet goes down and we can't use it?
