I was joking about my futuristic Christmas shopping idea, and I bumped into @Oliverlogan263

He totally agrees with not only my idea of what things will be like in 300 years, but also what Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Jacque Fresco think it will be like in 300 years.

I told Oliver that when I talk about this on the Internet or in real life, it makes people so angry that I need to go into the witness protection program.

Like it or not, the machines are going to take over most all work in the future. I've never understood this strange fear of machines or artificial intelligence. This isn't new. Even people who hate machines, like machines.

Who wants to go back to the tub and washboard?

The modern washing machine must have taken a lot of jobs away, but do you miss those jobs?

This revolution WILL happen, with or without your approval.

IBM did a study, and they concluded that thousands of years ago, the sum of all human knowledge doubled every 1,500 years. IBM estimates that in 30 years, the sum of all human knowledge will double every 12 hours. A doctor goes to sleep at night. The next day his knowledge is obsolete. The machines will replace the doctor.

So where does that leave us regular folks? Work will be nothing more than an option. You can play video games all day, or you can find some type of un-paid volunteer work you like.

1, very flawed. association with rich people is clever advertising but still wrong.

2 you mix current machines that don't do shop jobs, food clothing stores etc. by equated "hand wash to machines" that CAN replace all jobs.

3 if true people can't earn money, so you put first won't be money. but what about renting home using house?

4, the problem isn't the machines, people don't worry about wash machines, that took jobs from laundromats, but a. i. is the threat... i don't want to get switched off and neither will the a. i. so what will it do to keep people from switch off or controlling it... that is the problem

With AI there are many jobs that could be done with a machine and , more will be converted every year. It could make work optional if it was applied fairly. Unfortunately a few weathy people will use it to get even richer and most people that lose their jobs to a computer will have to be destitute.
