A girl I get on really well with and who I think likes me back is super nice and sometimes flirty with me/looks out for me when we hang in groups etc or are together. But I feel like her texts are so brief when she does eventually reply. I should add that I am 10+ years older than her and from what I understand she is pretty shy when it comes to romance and flirting and stuff. I have heard other people say she isn't a great texter too.

Any ideas?

You said yourself she tends to be shy, and isn't a great at texting. So why do you instantly assume she's not interested in you?


You're going to have to take a more conventional approach: ask to spend time with her one on one instead of in groups.
Better still, just ask her out on a date. That way you can talk to her in person and gauge her interest and see how she interacts with you!

She is probably not interesting in you and is trying give you the hint to leave her alone. I am guessing she's in her 20s. In my 20's if I was not interested in a guy and he's trying to kiss me or being touchy, I'll act like I am shy or talk to them less because I don't want to hurt their feelings and want to give them the hint I don't like them so they will leave me alone. I don't like hurting someones feelings especially when they like me. I always got hurt from someone who I liked and it is not a great feeling. Sometimes its not easy for females to tell a guy they aren't interested in them. If she is 10 years younger then that's how she actually acts. You don't want to be in a relationship with someone like that. You want someone who is mature and will tell you straight up how they feel about you. Maybe you should act how she feels about you and if she acts shy to say then she is not interested. Sorry :(
