Guys, do you text back a hook up?

If you hooked up with a girl, and she texts you a week and a half later asking what’s etc or saying hi, anything simple fun and playful to put a feeler out there for you. Would you always text back just to be nice? Would you text back because you want to see the girl again in the future? If you didn’t want to see her again would you even bother texting her back? Do you only text back out of being polite? Why would you text a girl back and engage in conversation if you didn’t want to see her again?

After a week or 3 days for us guys someone is reaching back out. I would respond and meet again if both wanted too. “I like people”-for the most part.
