Is an online game more likely to crash than a singleplayer game on pc?

Not that I've ever noticed. Obviously stuff like lag and sync issues are not a problem with single player games, but those don't normally cause crashes.

Personally I think single player games crash more often. I just installed the newest update to Skyrim last night and it wouldn't even run. It would start, but I couldn't load or start a new game. I had to uninstall it, then install an older version that I had archived.

Yes and no.
You can build a game in a way that it never crashes no matter what.
Crashing is actually a relatively new problem, caused by lazy developers not finishing the game before release.
But games that do crash, are more often going to do so when internet dependant.

Both are usually one and the same, with the online/mulitplayer being an additional feature requiring an internet connection.

Yep cause internet connection is a thing, underline connection, which can be interrupted in many ways

Yes usually there are a large number of stability issues related with online games.

Crash your pc? Depends what you are playing. A server crash is more likely to happen on multiplayer.
