Will you be deleting your social media accounts in 2024?

I am basically done with all social media forever. I deleted my reddit account. I am going to delete YouTube app very soon. I want to get back to reading more books and staying off social media. YouTube has mostly garbage on it. Too many shorts and it is turning into tik tok and a lot of the good content creators are starting to hide their videos behind a pay wall.

I successfully quit video games and am no longer addicted. I am still going to use websites like Udemy or something similar for education content. But that is about it. GaG is pretty much dead, so it will be pretty easy to delete this account.

amen, lead the way. I'm following. I find decent stuff, but a lot of waste of time.

GAG is a waste of time. some good topics and discussions, but it is so often a waste of effort without reasonable engagement. it's unfufilling. like eating junk food.

I gotta check that site... or brilliant. I'd rather learn. GAG/social maybe useful for exploring ideas. probbly better to make video, run polls, or write books.

Feel you homeboy. I don't use social media much but there is always scope for using it less. This is one of my goals of 2024. The only purpose of social media should be to use it as a means of finding connections in real life, but it is the opposite.

I don't use social media sites (I don't count question and answer sites or youtube as social media because i'm not on them for social reasons, though I don't have a youtube account and just use it as a guest, and once I get my original question answered with a successful solution, I'll just leave gag).

Video games I'm never giving up, they are better than everything else the world has to offer.

I deleted FakeBook years ago. I sometimes go on Twitter? X but that can be pretty toxic if one is not careful. I think I'll just keep with GAG. Yes, there are some perves and trolls, but those are easy to avoid, and there are a lot of great people. Many of them don't think that they are, but they are in my eyes.
