I bought a Samsung tablet, but the lock screen feature doesn't seem to work. If I am watching something on YouTube, as soon as an ad comes on, the lock screen automatically unlocks itself. I will also have the YouTube video in full screen, but as soon as the ad plays, the screen goes back to its original size. It's absolutely frustrating.

I suspect you can fix this with screen timeout/power settings, and further I suspect that this is currently being caused by a software bug that Samsung either doesn't know about or is dragging their feet about fixing.
You can turn the screen lock completely off - which means you MUST manually turn the screen off or it will run down the battery - but it will solve your problem (yes, it's a work-around, but might be better than your current option).
I would also report the problem to Samsung. Make sure you know exactly which model tablet you have, and which OS version it's running. Describe the problem well, and hope it's a known issue that's already being worked on.
It’s a Samsung galaxy tablet brought brand new in February this year. I actually need the Lock Screen to actually work because the tablet is the only way I can distract my daughter long enough for me to cook dinner since im a single mum. Having the Lock Screen do this is frustrating because it results in her constantly crying because as soon as the screen unlock she gets there pressing the screen trying to make the screen bigger but it just results in her accidentally turning her entire show off.
Thank you heaps. I will reach out to Samsung themselves and hopefully get this fixed.
What I mean is that you can (for now) disable the lock screen - which means the screen will stay on until you turn it off. That will stop the interruptions. That might be a good work-around until the main problem is fixed.
