The thing is for consumer use there is no real benefit over what is on the market now. It is still something that has shape and mass. The electronics and the screen need to be present and having them transparent just had costs making the product fairly Unmarketable.

Even if we are, we’ll have cases made to withstand being dropped and that will block the transparency. When’s the last time you saw a smartphone without a case outside of a commercial?
