Do you think phones ruined our love lives?

So I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety circling my most recent relationships. And I've only had a few that didn't feel that way. Randomly today, I decided to figure out what was in common with all these guys. And it certainly wasn't compatibility. Especially with a few people in particular, I noticed how easily I could talk to them. Then the second I got their numbers, I felt like the connection was over. I feel like texting is people's way of "hanging out" when they can't be in person. But the truth is that it's not the same. Guys that I used to talk to in person every day started only texting me. Probably because it's more comfortable to text. It's insane to me how drastically these connections changed right after getting their number. One guy in particular (and this is very toxic by the way) was on and off blocking me. So I got to see how we changed through this. And each time we were texting I felt so empty. But when we were in "no contact" everything was so easy with him. I wonder if texting can really ruin relationships and how do you guys think people can stay in touch while limiting technology?
