So recently this has been going on for a while my husband is constantly on his phone now literally day and night and even while im saying just tonight I caught him on his phone for about an hour. It it driving me crazy where he is oblivious to the world around him spends very little time now talking to me or being intimate. I have a phone also but I do not spend my whole day on it unless im really bored. I bake, I do errands, I enjoy time being more away from it. To me phones are now considered important than human beings. Im losing my mind with my husband cause it makes me anxious also wondering if he's cheating on me.

I think you have strong point. There are a lot of people at the end of a phone so implicitly he is talking to all those people rather than you. So you are competing against a large number of people.

In my case I'd be reading an article or listening to a podcast. I get really snarky too if I am interrupted. I've just realized how bad I am.

Definitely relationship destroying. If your partner agrees to no phones between x pm and y pm they might gagging to get back to it at y pm and not really interested in talking to you from x to y anyway.

I think access to social media via cell phones has created some addicts.

When I was growing up, phones were attached to the wall. Adolescents might sometimes talk to their friends for hours, but they still had lives and did other things.

But some people these days walk around with their heads down constantly looking at their phones and typing with their thumbs.
Some people do that everywhere, in the car, at dinner, when they are with friends. And they miss everything that is going on around them.

So I agree that there is something about cell phones that can cause addiction in some people. And it really sucks when that addiction comes between romantic partners or spouses.

I think phones are ruining all types of relationships not just marriages but boyfriend and girlfriend ones, family dynamics, and even friendships. Everyone’s constantly looking at their phones and don’t have real conversations or connect these days, even if they do it’s only for a small period of time. I’ll admit sometimes I use my phone more than usual but I have to keep up with emails and doing online tasks for work lol but in a relationship I always spare my phone away and give my partner time. Even though I don’t play games, I always being nice to sit next to him watching him play, with that he shares about the game to me.
