If you want an image of a formal dinner, or a day at the beach or a beautiful garden... Stock images and photos were the go to place.

So in the past people would order and use stock photos online to sell products, advertise their businesses, or promote their Projects.

But with the rise of AI generated images do you think stock photos will still be relevant or Will AI takeover?

AI still has a long way to go, as many generated images have additional limbs or deformed bodily parts like fingers and etc.

Of course! There is not a single tangible benefit to a company to use a real stock photo over an AI one.
If you were speaking about art that would be used for comics or something more important then that's different as it been inauthentic art can impact people's perception and willingness to buy such comic.

But no real person cares about a stock photo, the entire purpose of them is to be a concept of a basic idea what's the purpose of it needing to be authentic, if anything most stock photos aren't authentic in the first place like insert random dude smiling at his desk job lol.

No. Quite the opposite.

AI doesn't "make" anything. It reproduces only what it is allowed, from what others give it access - sort of like Apple.

Apple don't "make" anything - they redesign from Foxconn and others smaller manufacturers, into their platform.

So while Shutterstock and others will always have fresh new content. AI will always rely on whatever is available to it. This is why there is so much uproar over AI as most of these small start-ups aren't paying for using the data and resources their AI models rely on.

Yes because an increasing amount of images are already AI generated there. You can just make your own for free i'd never buy a stock image.
