Yes even though they are extinct vhs is jvc technology where beta max is sony technology , beta max was better quality but you could not fit most standard movies onto 1 tape so vhs became the. standard jvc and sony went at it again when hddvd came out jvc technololy, and quickly sony came out with blueray , i think i saw 1 movie available on hddvd and it phased out very quickly I remember that and i bought into the laser disk movies i had about 60 diffrent laser disk movies i sold the all last year for 500 bucks lol
