Why do people keep modding their switch 2 when they know…?

People using pirate and modding (mig switch. etc) and getting banned and blaming Nintendo for punishing you for something you did that was wrong and TOS! ITS SO RIDICULOUSLY FUNNY! It’s so embarrassing and so sad

So, while a lot of nintendo doesn’t really need to be changed and modded, it doesn’t change the fact that they’re incredibly strict when it comes to their licenses and copyrights. You can’t even really post fanart without potentially getting a copyright hit from nintendo if it’s done well. And honestly? None of their games are games we own. We own a license to play them but that can easily be taken away if they decide to just pull a game from their library because they want to. And honestly, if buying a game isn’t owning it, pirating isn’t stealing 🤷🏼‍♀️


I say if people want to mod it and have a better experience, let them try. Eventually, much like people who self-repair their apple phones rather than being forced to take it to only apple stores for repairs, they’ll figure out how to do it in a way that still allows it to function without having to pay hundreds of dollars. The system can be a shitty place sometimes, fighting it is a welcome expression in my opinion.

literally all my ps5 games are digital. But how did you lose your games?

I haven’t, thankfully. But I know Sony and nintendo and similar companies go out of their way to let older games rot, if not get deleted entirely. Much like how the PS4 systems will all been rendered into fancy paperweights now that their servers are scheduled for shutdown in 2026. Or like how microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 10 even though hundreds of thousands of people still use those systems
