How would you fare without technology?

How would you fare without technology? Or at the very least, with minimal or outdated tech? Or no internet?

I would be better off without it!

The police 🚓 won't even make house calls 📞 anymore. I had to go online and fill out my paperwork and they lost it!

Everything is done on line and the choices AI give us to select from don't have a selection for the problem I am having. So if I choose from the list it just tells me to go online and they give the email address really fast and I don't get it all and have to call again.

I don't like the constant threat that fraudsters are going to empty my bank account at any second!

There's just way too much information that I have to look at that I don't care about.

It's my part time job trying to keep up with blocking companies that keep emailing me their crap!

I actually believe that I was doing just great before the Internet and cellphones!

I think overall life would be less stressful and healthier both physically and mentally. I’d be willing to give up the conveniences of modern technology.

How would I fare? Not great honestly.

I owe internet a lot, I have a story there and this story is far from being over, so losing internet access is out of the question to me. I could go with limited internet access though. Like back to 1998 internet rationing, before AOL deployed the magic of unlimited access. I'm actually ready for that, for rationing again. Also because I believe it could happen, I'm really not sure the increasing power required to run internet is not gonna bottleneck somewhere in the future.

I owe computers a lot as well, and that's the definitive deal breaker here, to me. I can go with limited internet access, but remove my computer and I'll be dead in the water. For a long time, I expect.

I leave my phone at home from time to time just so I can avoid it feeling like a necessity. I think I would fare pretty well short to medium term. Long term, I’m not sure. I have always had poor sense of direction and everything that came before GPS was clunky, and a little dangerous. GPS is my friend. I don’t ever want to live without it again. Ell oh ell!

Technology or the Internet? I can live fine without the Internet. It's our hospital plan that wants to do everything "on-line", not me. It's the food stores that want coupons on line, not me. It's the county government that wants their tax payments on-line, not me. Is there a pattern here? Technology we are stuck with. (sorry for the hanging preposition). Scissors- two opposed knives with a common pivot point. Rolling pin- cylinder confined by handles sand a shaft. Even your arm is a lever.

Well my job would be amazing as I would have nothing to do quill, but my personal life would suffer a little due to how much I rely upon the positives that technology brings but I’d adapt to that. In many ways I think it would recentre me on what truly matters in life and I’d likely be healthier 😂

It would take an adjustment period given I fill most of my down time with technology.

But ultimately, I enjoyed life more prior to social media and our forever online culture we have today. I think most people got more pleasure from a life filled with sun and nature than they do with leds and lcds.

Poorly. I like having the goods I want arrive at my door in 24 hours instead of being ordered in 4 to 6 weeks later, etc. And I've grown use to having magical 'you are here' pointers on my maps. And organising to catch up with friends by agreeing 'why don't you call me in the morning and we'll sort something out'. And the hours not spent in university libraries looking for obscure papers to photocopy. And...

... occasionally I even like people on here.

I think I'd be OK. Though not if we count STOVES and REFRIGERATORS as tech. Screen-free and vehicle-free I'd be fine. (I'd miss the crazy G@G crew, though.)

Just fine. I existed without the internet the majority of my life. I could easily do so again. I can navigate without GPS. I have never used social media. And I don't need to be attached to a pocket computer 24X7.

i couldn't publish my poems nor short stories. i couldn't make plans to meet people nor find them if i don't see them at the place! technology can be used for good.

I spend two months a year "off grid" on holiday. Cabin in the woods, style.

I grew up without the internet, cell phones, a d cable TV I could go back there again. Indoor plumbing and central heating is another thing
