Did Facebook remove the option to block someone from a friend request?

Today a hater who has been saying evil lies about me tried to add me as a friend on Facebook because the spy they had used to show them everything I posted on my account, stopped agreeing to share my posts with them. I never figured out who the spy was.

I deleted the request but could not find a way to block them before deleting the request.

You should be able to block them with no problem at all. Facebook is always changing things it makes no sense but they always allow people to block a nuisance user without any problem. Best wishes on solving this matter.

If they request again, be sure to block them before deleting the request. Once blocked it’ll automatically delete the request.

I haven't been using facebook for years, but I heard about some changes... something just like that I believe.
