Why does time seem to pass so fast when I’m busy with tasks?

I left the house at 12:30 for a birthday party, ran two errands after my meal, organized my room, organized my tea cabinet, recalculated my monthly expenses, took stock of my current and scheduled future purchases on Amazon, did some online navigation, and previewed my social media accounts to see if any new activity happened, and by the time I looked at the clock again, almost 4 hours had passed by which I think is crazy.

Why does time seem to pass so fast when I’m busy with tasks?
