Almost everyone knows the name of Jordan , but the basket ball player , they mostly don't know that there is a great country in the middle east named Jordan .
I will introduce you to it , and i hope you visit it one day :
The origin of the name:
Official name is The Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan (المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية )
Hashemite : is the royal family that rules the country
Jordan: Is named after the river of Jordan which is in the country which has a rich historical importance.
The Flag , and royal anthem :
Flag Of Jordan :
"The Flag of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in its current form, was adopted in 1922. It is inspired, in shape and colours, by the Great Arab Revolt’s banner, which was raised from the plains of Mecca in 1916.
Its black, white and green colours represent Umayyad, Abbasid and Fatimid cultures, the most important eras in Arab Islamic civilisation; while the red chevron encompassing the flag’s components represents the Hashemite Family. The heptagram at the centre of the chevron symbolises the seven verses of Surat Al Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Holy Quran."

History :
It had a really long history , and it is rich of many different eras , i will cut it as short as possible , i will leave you a link of Wikipedia if you like to read more:
-Nabatean kingdom (الأنباط Al-Anbat)with its capital at Petra, which was a border, client state of the Roman Empire absorbed into the Empire in 106 CE, and the ancient city of Saltus. During the Greco-Roman period of influence, a number of semi-independent city-states also developed in Jordan, grouped as a Decapolis.
Decapolis: was a group of ten cities on the eastern frontier of the Roman Empire in the southeastern Levant, which now have a new names in this order :
Gerasa (Jerash), Philadelphia (Amman), Raphana (Abila), Dion (Capitolias), Gadara (Umm Qays), and Pella (Irbid).

Is the capital and most populous city of Jordan, and the country's economic, political and cultural center, Amman is considered to be among the most liberal and westernized Arab cities.It is a major tourist destination in the region, particularly among Arab and European tourists.
-Down Town:
A great place to shop, and buy things souvenirs , it has everything and you will love the streets as you walk by many places , food is great too.
-Roman Theater :
Roman Theater is a 6,000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theater. A famous landmark in the Jordanian capital, it dates back to the Roman period when the city was known as Philadelphia.
Jabal Amman:
A great place for tourist , enjoy the cafe's and the seating in the streets , it is friendly place full of life.

Arabic is the main language in Jordan , but don't worry almost everyone speaks English in Jordan so go ahead and speak up.
There are many places to visit in Amman, and Jordan, but the main thing is you are always welcomed to this country , it is friendly and great , the first words you will here is Welcome.
You don't need to worry about safety too, Jordan is one of the safest places on earth despite being in the middle east .
