Are you more interested in international travel or domestic travel?

I’ve just never been big on traveling. Anywhere internationally that i was ever interested in was usually based on the Mary Kate and Ashley movies i grew up watching. I mean, they went to Paris, Rome, Sydney, London, Bahamas, and so on. So yea, i had an interest in a few of those places as a kid but as i got older, I realized i really lacked interest in traveling outside of the USA. So at most, I’d like to visit Australia and Bahamas, possibly Italy but thats it. Dubai was tempting but nah… In terms of domestic travel, I’m only going where the theme parks and casinos are at. I dont need to visit every one, but there's a few I’d like to see. there's really no western states that interest me, so California isn't even in my top 49. Lmao. there's also not really any northern states i care to visit outside of maybe New York someday. But yea, I’ve always wanted to visit Florida for Orlando, Tampa and Miami but have never gotten to. Not in a rush too after this pandemic tbh. But I certainly want to revisit Vegas and parts of Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina. I also hope to check out Nashville TN. But thats really about it for me 🤷‍♀️ I rather stay home. I’d have to date more of a homebody type guy to avoid being dragged into traveling everywhere lmao. I don't know i just really have no interest in learning about new cultures, languages, foods and artifacts. I tend to just stick to what I know.

I would say both. Sweden is a wonderful country it has a lot to offer and just happened to be me and the wife we like to take road trips and camp. I used to at Arlanda/Stockholm airport and i learned few tricks when i search for flying tickets and cheap too. The thing is! Europe is pretty cheap for us because we live here and everything is very close to us. My vacation to United States! Only for the tickets we paid 500$ each, While here we pay half the price if we flew to Spain and got an OK hotel for 5 days and we would pay a total of 500$. So America is like 100 times bigger than Sweden and basically you guys have everything there plus it's expensive for you to buy flying tickets to Europe. Once i had a trip to Italy, flew to Milano, had an alright hotel, got tickets for AC Milan match in San Siro, lunch and dinner in restaurants, took a rental car and took a day trip to Venice (we were 6 people, friends and cousins), all that in 4 days for barley 350$(The whole trip). Not going to freaking Dubai, i have my own reasons. But i want to see England, Greece, Irland, Portugal, Croatia, Northern France and Switzerland (we almost booked a trip to it)

There has been new restriction due to the new variation of COVID and we gonna wait wait and see.

I've seen enough US states (about 30 of them). To know that visiting states isn't very interesting for me. The topology changes but it's not really that different. It's still America and most of the sites aren't what interests me with travel.

Mainly I want to see old architecture. Castles, medieval villages, ancient temples, gothic cathedrals, stone roads, plazas, estates and a lot of the classical revival. Mainly in Europe and Japan.

I also want to experience the local foods. All that's left in the US I really want to see is New York, Hawaii and Niagara Falls. Outside the US I want to see Ireland, UK, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece, Israel, Egypt and Japan.

I have no interest in the night life of these places. I can't imagine going to a bar or club in one of those countries. Is much different than doing so in the US.

I need to travel. In 2020 just before the lockdown I took my first holiday alone. It was 5 days away in Spain. It was for my 30th. It was such an amazing time.
I went to the beach. A spa. I treated myself to real Spanish paella.
Went shopping and even indulged in karaoke at a bar on my own.
It was a blast.
My mum called every day.
But I had the best time.
I really want to do it again.
I like experiencing new things.
Unfortunately for me I hate theme parks and rides and losing money.
So although I've been to them in the past I'm satisfied that it's not for me. Although I can't say that I'd not be tempted by the machines with the flashing lights.

Apparently on a trip to Wales, i found myself deeply fixated with the slot machines there; but I was only 3 years old! Lol... 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😅

I do love the bingo though. Do you go there at all?

All 3? I wanna go back home to the UK, and it's one of the places my boyfriend has always dreamed of going, so I plan to take him there one day. And like @Jaximus-Lion said, once you're in Europe, everything tends to be a little cheaper. In 2016 I flew back home for my cousins wedding and I went to Barcelona for 4 days. Flight, five-star Hotel (I got an employee discount, cause my cousin worked for the chain in atlanta), transit pass, ended up being $150.
Canada is huge, and I've been to 3 out of the 10 provinces and three territories (I'm not including the one I live in). A flight to BC (domestic), is actually the same price as a flight back home for me
And I live staying at home being by myself.

There's some great stuff here in the U. S.
But I don't care much for crowds and glitz. I'm particularly entranced by authentic historical things.
When I first traveled through Germany, France and Belgium, I didn't care about big cities and tourist destinations. What fascinated me were small towns where people lived the same traditional lifestyles they had for centuries. When I first saw a castle I thought, "OMG! That's real! It's not a Disney castle. It's been there for 1000 years, and the town around it, with it's narrow, cobble stone roads, hasn't changed for centuries!"
I feel the same way about parts of Ireland.
Even some of the cities in Mexico, built by the Spanish 500 years ago, are delightful.

I've already visited the very few places i already wanted to in the U. S aside from Colorado.
I want to visit Turkey, Thailand, Japan, and Italy. Mostly for food and shopping. Covid kinda ruined my international travel plans, and i only have a few friends that can really afford to travel with me..
So now that i think about it, international travel is more exciting lol.

I’m Canadian and before CoVid I loved to travel to Mexico and Cuba during the Christmas holidays but now I won’t even go 6 hours to a nearby city by car cause we don’t want to get sick from the virus. My favourite American cities were Los Angeles and Boston and Atlantic City and my favourite global cities are Sevilla and Tokyo and Kangaroo Island in Australia.

Domestically here, I can go on 3 or 4 domestic trips a year and still be cheaper than one over sea's international trip.

I can't really afford those expensive over sea international ones. Plenty to see and do right here in the states. I've never even been down south, to any southern state other than the Grand Canyon and Southern California, Las Vegas, etc... I got plenty on my bucket list to do as is.

I've recently seen a lot of the USA and some parts of Canada. International travel seems to be more appealing now but with this darned pandemic still in alarming levels, I'm reluctant. However, I have began to book some overseas travels for the near future. I'll just have to take the necessary precautions to stay well & safe.

I guess international. But I do want to see all 50 states eventually. And I do like Virginia and Florida. It would be nice to visit those two states again. You should definitely visit NY! It's nice over here lol. For international, I'm interested in going to Germany and Russia. I'd like to go to some other countries too like England and South Korea.

I actually want to do both, with an emphasis on those international places (entire Mediterranean area), Africa) that I've never been to) but with the pandemic, it's difficult to travel internationally. Domestic travel is still possible,; I've missed most of the states west of the Mississippi while hitting all but a couple in the east.

I only grew up in western states so in the opposite of you. The only eastern states I’m interested in are Massachusetts and Maine because of Puritan history.

for international travel I’m interested in China, Korea, East Asia because of my heritage. Outside of that maybe Portugal and Italy

Personally I prefer domestic. My enjoyment of a place is more about meeting people and sharing everyday experiences. Too much stress in places that speak different languages, force "touristy" activities, and take advantage of visitors.
