That's when you know whether or not you really trust and/or love someone. My very best friend in the world, who's as close to me as family, is a lousy but incredibly lucky driver who has near misses regularly but I get in the passenger seat when we're on a trip. She's a worse passenger than a driver, climbing all over the place, moving from the front to the back and the front again, involving a lot of opening up luggage to see if she remembered to bring whatever. But I love being with her.
With strangers, getting around town, I'd rather be the driver. I don't enjoy the lack of control, in those cases, and I'd sooner take public transport than a taxi--although walking, when possible, is a more preferable option these days, because city driving just seems like spoiled polluter behavior.
Depends on the driver. If I don’t know how they drive, I prefer to be the driver. I don’t like the feeling of not having control behind the wheel. There are a few people in my life that I trust completely to be the driver.
I completely avoid being in any kind of carpool situation.
Usually prefer to be The Driver. Unless I trust the driver and I know that they drive cool. Then I'd probably rather be the passenger. But sometimes I'd rather be the driver just because I feel like I've got something to do. The time goes by quicker.
On long trips I prefer to be the passenger with good driver. Not somebody that zips in and out of traffic and tailgate, puts me in danger. I don't like to be the passenger in those cars.
I kind of want to do both. They have cars with built-ins autopilot for self-driving. So if you don't feel like driving just hit the button in the car will drive itself. But it makes me wonder, would a person get arrested if he or she puts the car on autopilot and take a nap?

Ordinarily I do the driving but if I’m on a road trip with someone and need a break, I approve of switching. I also don’t mind letting someone else drive if they know exactly how to get somewhere and I don’t. It’s more efficient to have them drive.
But otherwise it’s my car and I drive.
I learned how to drive when I was 14(lived in the boonies so no one cared) and I've never gotten a ticket or anything. Plus all of the people I know don't like to drive so I usually do it.
On a side note, my mom drives like it's formula 1. Out in Wyoming my mom hit over 100mph in a Mazda CX-5 and it was amazing, so it's cool if she drives lol
I prefer to be the one driving. I can't relax when other people drive. Plus I am a really good, safe driver. I successfully drove a 40 foot 81 passenger bus for years with no incidents, so a car or truck is very easy for me.
I picked A.
... Unless most of the trip's on the highway, as that is the most boring part of driving. I mean, I'd be too "passive". And if it's a part of the highway that I've driven enough time, I'd struggle with staying awake ^^;
Varies. I don't mind driving but I get too nervous to drive inner city. I like the independence that comes with driving but I prefer to be the passenger.
Bella I voted that it depends on things. Such as whether or not the other person is a good driver, or already knows the directions to where we're going. It doesn't bother me to sit in the passenger seat in those cases.
😊🚘🚙
I will be hiring a chauffeur, I hate driving its tiring, you have to find a park and do the parking. Worst is when you have to driving to really far places. It's exhausting.
I'm not a bad driver, but I'm a better passenger. I'm good at trusting other drivers. I can be comfortable just riding in the passenger seat better than a lot of people I know.
It really depends, if it's a short drive, I don't mind driving. Long drive? I'm going to be lazy and rather be passenger. So I can sleep during the drive.
I'd rather be a passenger, i drive too badly, I'm very afraid to drive I have a panic attack every time I need to take the car, the thoughts of it give me one.
I like to be the driver because I enjoy driving and being the one responsible for arriving to wherever I'm going safely.
In my our vehicles, I'd rather drive.
In someone else's vehicle, passenger.
Long drives? We'll share the duty.
In my own* vehicles, I'd rather drive.
Passenger, then I can focus on something while still getting to the destination. Get me those robotaxis on the streets.
I'm easy going. I really don't mind either, providing when I'm a passenger the driver is up to the task.
I always do most of the driving on road trips.
That picture of the passenger's feet on the dashboard isn't safe, just think what will happen to them if they get in a front-end collision.
for hellish traffic city, I'll ride passenger
for an actual drive or highway, roads, off-road... I'd rather drive
I like having my bare feet up on the dash or hanging out the window with someone else driving.
I have to be the driver! It causes a lot of anxiety to be the passenger
Passenger. For 3 reasons. To have the aux, navigate and I don't know if its the same for everyone that chose passenger but I encountered dangerous reckless drivers and I want no part of that.
It depends on whos doing the driving. Some people make me feel car sick lol or they’ve very slow. I can’t deal with that I’d rather just drive myself.
Passenger honestly, maybe it might change with my own care... who knows lol
I hate driving. Much rather close my eyes and enjoy the ride in passenger seat. 😴
I voted C. I prefer to be the passenger, but it really depends on who's driving.
I want to learn driving badly. Whatever I'm still underage ๏︿๏
I much prefer being the passenger. I don’t like dealing with traffic.
Driver I drive everything. I let my eldest son sometimes now that I am moving for 60years old.
I prefer to be the driver but sometimes it is nice to be in the suicide seat and look at the scenery.
The people I ride with all oddly drive like me so I’m good either way.
Don't drive so always the passenger, sometimes I'd rather be the one driving 😳
If I'm not feeling well than passenger, but most of the time I'm the driver.
I'd rather be a passenger, wish I knew how to drive
If my passenger did that
I prefer to do the driving. I'd rather not let someone else control where I go.
I am to lazy i won't drive if someone is there with me
Depends on who might be driving.
if i am comfortable with someone else driving. I like to take a nap.
In snow and ice. I prefer to drive.
I always drive if I can help it. No one sails the ship but me.
Usually the driver. I can mostly relax as a passenger but can't totally as I need to be in control.
Driver.
I'm a good driver but everyone else makes me nervous.
my commute every day is too long so whenever i have the opportunity, i'd rather be a passenger
Driver because when I’m ready to go I’m ready to GO
I have over 2 million miles driven 0 accidents i think you would want me to drive
Well, I still haven't got a drivers license, so I have to be the passenger :)
I prefer to be the passenger. I tend to nod off while driving long distances
I'm a professional driver and I like to be in control so definitely the driver.
I would rather drive as I like to control what happens to me.
Driver. Put on your seat belt and brace yourself.. Speed limits are now cancelled!
Driving. But in a large city with heavy traffic then I'll be a passenger cus I have no patience.
I hate driving tbh, had my license for like 7 years, barely used it.
If my car, I car. If not then the passenger. I just chill back.
I prefer to drive; but I don't mind riding shotgun.
depends how good of a driver the other person is 😂
I'm fine being either. But I never drove an automobile before :/
I'm curious, do any ladies have any opinions or perspectives on how a majority of men appear to prefer being the driver, while a majority of women prefer to be the passenger?
The driver. I like being in charge.
Passenger
I don’t enjoy driving
Driving. I prefer to have control.
Depends on who would be driving.
Passenger unless im playing a racing game lol
Driver, in my own vehicle.
I hate driving lmao i just wanna hang out
