That's when you know whether or not you really trust and/or love someone. My very best friend in the world, who's as close to me as family, is a lousy but incredibly lucky driver who has near misses regularly but I get in the passenger seat when we're on a trip. She's a worse passenger than a driver, climbing all over the place, moving from the front to the back and the front again, involving a lot of opening up luggage to see if she remembered to bring whatever. But I love being with her.
With strangers, getting around town, I'd rather be the driver. I don't enjoy the lack of control, in those cases, and I'd sooner take public transport than a taxi--although walking, when possible, is a more preferable option these days, because city driving just seems like spoiled polluter behavior.
Depends on the driver. If I don’t know how they drive, I prefer to be the driver. I don’t like the feeling of not having control behind the wheel. There are a few people in my life that I trust completely to be the driver.
I completely avoid being in any kind of carpool situation.
Usually prefer to be The Driver. Unless I trust the driver and I know that they drive cool. Then I'd probably rather be the passenger. But sometimes I'd rather be the driver just because I feel like I've got something to do. The time goes by quicker.
On long trips I prefer to be the passenger with good driver. Not somebody that zips in and out of traffic and tailgate, puts me in danger. I don't like to be the passenger in those cars.
I kind of want to do both. They have cars with built-ins autopilot for self-driving. So if you don't feel like driving just hit the button in the car will drive itself. But it makes me wonder, would a person get arrested if he or she puts the car on autopilot and take a nap?

Ordinarily I do the driving but if I’m on a road trip with someone and need a break, I approve of switching. I also don’t mind letting someone else drive if they know exactly how to get somewhere and I don’t. It’s more efficient to have them drive.
But otherwise it’s my car and I drive.
I learned how to drive when I was 14(lived in the boonies so no one cared) and I've never gotten a ticket or anything. Plus all of the people I know don't like to drive so I usually do it.
On a side note, my mom drives like it's formula 1. Out in Wyoming my mom hit over 100mph in a Mazda CX-5 and it was amazing, so it's cool if she drives lol
I prefer to be the one driving. I can't relax when other people drive. Plus I am a really good, safe driver. I successfully drove a 40 foot 81 passenger bus for years with no incidents, so a car or truck is very easy for me.
I picked A.
... Unless most of the trip's on the highway, as that is the most boring part of driving. I mean, I'd be too "passive". And if it's a part of the highway that I've driven enough time, I'd struggle with staying awake ^^;
Varies. I don't mind driving but I get too nervous to drive inner city. I like the independence that comes with driving but I prefer to be the passenger.
Bella I voted that it depends on things. Such as whether or not the other person is a good driver, or already knows the directions to where we're going. It doesn't bother me to sit in the passenger seat in those cases.

I will be hiring a chauffeur, I hate driving its tiring, you have to find a park and do the parking. Worst is when you have to driving to really far places. It's exhausting.
I'm not a bad driver, but I'm a better passenger. I'm good at trusting other drivers. I can be comfortable just riding in the passenger seat better than a lot of people I know.
It really depends, if it's a short drive, I don't mind driving. Long drive? I'm going to be lazy and rather be passenger. So I can sleep during the drive.
I like to be the driver because I enjoy driving and being the one responsible for arriving to wherever I'm going safely.
In my our vehicles, I'd rather drive.
In someone else's vehicle, passenger.
Long drives? We'll share the duty.
In my own* vehicles, I'd rather drive.
Passenger, then I can focus on something while still getting to the destination. Get me those robotaxis on the streets.
I'm easy going. I really don't mind either, providing when I'm a passenger the driver is up to the task.
I'd rather be a passenger, i drive too badly, I'm very afraid to drive I have a panic attack every time I need to take the car, the thoughts of it give me one.
I always do most of the driving on road trips.
That picture of the passenger's feet on the dashboard isn't safe, just think what will happen to them if they get in a front-end collision.
for hellish traffic city, I'll ride passenger
for an actual drive or highway, roads, off-road... I'd rather drive
I like having my bare feet up on the dash or hanging out the window with someone else driving.
I have to be the driver! It causes a lot of anxiety to be the passenger
Passenger. For 3 reasons. To have the aux, navigate and I don't know if its the same for everyone that chose passenger but I encountered dangerous reckless drivers and I want no part of that.
It depends on whos doing the driving. Some people make me feel car sick lol or they’ve very slow. I can’t deal with that I’d rather just drive myself.
