Is the whole of North America rightfully and historically, um... British?

America was founded in 1607 by Englishman John Smith (Jamestown, Virginia), and he also came up with the name "New England" in 1614 in the northeastern US. And the colonies got more and more British ever since. And even though Canada was founded by some French bloke named Samuel de Champlain in 1608 and was initially French, we kicked their bloody arses in 1759/1760, and took possession of their bloody territory. Did you know that Montreal and Quebec City were British cities, somehow foreign people are under the impression that they are still bleedin' "French." We had our bloody headquarters in that province!

Furthermore, after that so-called French and Indian War, was the transition of British to "Americans" in the Thirteen Colonies. The British down there had become Rebels, whereas up in Quebec, the British (who run that bloody province by the way thank you) were Loyalists. As time went on, the USA got filled up with Rebel British (aka Americans) whereas Canada got filled up with Loyalist compliant British. True, there are black people in America as they were slaves brought over there by us and the Spanish (who inhabit Mexico and much of South America and even Florida), and Canada has leftover Native Indians, but British is the primary heritage and nationality in that continent.

It's *history* ladies and gents! :)
