I'm thinking of moving to the UK, any suggestions?

Pick a few areas and do your research. Housing costs in some places like can be ridiculously high (e. g. Glastonbury) others have high crime rates (eg Newcastle) in others its very safe. Employment opportunities vary a lot so consider what type of work you want. Friendliness levels vary a lot with Londoners being particularly unwelcoming and stuck up their own arses. Diversity varies a lot, Birmingham has a lot of Indians, London is very multicultural, wales is virtually all white outside of Cardiff and Swansea. Edinburgh has a lot of Americans, wales is popular with Italians.
Many local dialects can be hard to understand. English is spoken everywhere but in parts of Wales or Scotland speaking Welsh or gaelic as well is needed for some jobs.
Devon and Cornwall are the warmest but there's few jobs. The west is generally wetter. Don't worry about politics as you don't get the political hated here that you see in America.

So I'd suggest picking a a few towns and asking on here what people think of them. Look at local online newspapers rather than national ones. Have a look around on street view and ignore what the tourist board says.

It's flat here. Very modern. Good jobs. Great people. I do miss living next to a beach in UK though. We are now miles inland.

If you do come, avoid London. Biggest con trick ever. Overpriced, dirty and noisy.
