Girls, you go on vacation with your SO would you prefer a hotel or an airbnb?

I usually go for hotel. Definitely when I’m a resort area. If we are going to spend the money for holiday, I want all the amenities that a resort has, like restaurants, room service, activities and people bringing me colourful drinks with tiny umbrellas.

While Airbnb can be really nice, I don’t want to be cleaning and cooking on my holiday. That is the biggest downside. If I had a family, I’d still opt for resort assuming I had a couple of kids. If it was any bigger of a family, Airbnb would make more sense.

I think it also depends on the destination. For beach destinations, resorts are right in the water with private beaches. Houses that are on the beach probably cost a small fortune to rent for a week or two, and I’m still left having to cook and clean.

Last is I would feel nervous (especially with kids) breaking stuff in someone’s nice house. There is kinda not much to break in a hotel/resort room.

I can see you on the beach with your colorful drink and little umbrella. And I totally get that preference. I myself prefer the Airbnb so I don’t have to deal with other humans but like you said a beach front bnb would be a ridiculous price.

I can do either. Airbnb is normally more of a laid back accomodation where you are alone and have everything to yourself without any staff or anything, which is nice. Hotel can be cool because you do have staff that cleans up after you.

See I feel the same way except I prefer the Airbnb. I prefer to have that ability to do my own thing and will take cleaning up after myself if I can totally do my own thing. That being says d it is so fun going and getting doubted on. Like I would one hindered percent for to a resort for the sake of having my food made for me, people to clean up after me, a massage/spa available to just chill me out, and then some games or recreation available. I would totally hit a resort if I was going to an island or to some other touristy thing.

I like both. If it's just me and my husband then hotel but If it's with my kids then 1000% airbnb cuz we need the space

Interesting I honestly would think it the other way around. And want a hotel with the kids to be able to separate a bit and get separate rooms that still connect.

Nah that sucks especially when the kids cry then you have to go into another room to get them. And the airbnb is also good cuz it has a kitchen. Backyard. Living room so that the kids feel like they're at home.
I've experienced both with kids and the airbnb/vrbo is 1000% better

We stayed at one airbnb that was a condo on the beach and it was soo amazing cuz they had a pool and hottub. Wishing I could go back there right now but I'm sure the hurricane destroyed it 😕

I don't wanna cook or have my companion cook for us.

If I'm traveling by myself or with my husband, I/we prefer a resort villa/cottage or hotel penthouse where we can get pampered to high heaven.

Having a staff, a restaurant and room service are important to us.

If we're a large group, an AirBnB or Vrbo will be suitable.

I just won't do any cooking or cleaning while vacationing.
