We’re too up north for that to really be a thing.
Realistically speaking, our winters (especially in Toronto) are horrific. That stupid snow storm on December than again in March.

No, but the Interglacial Period is not over. In some of the several previous glaciations, the poles de-iced completely and became more like Northern Canada. Toronto may end up like South Georgia.
