Who else would hate when kids would complain about not wanting to go on vacation?

well, if you ungrateful brats don’t want to go to Europe or a tropical island, I will go instead. It would always annoy me when I would hear that.

Oh woww I’m surprised you said that kids complain about going on vacation. I feel like the grass is always greener on the other side.


For example, I come from a poor family background. And throughout my childhood and teenage life, we’ve never ever taken a vacation. Not to a different city/state, let alone a different country.
And it really saddened me…hearing about how my my friends were all going out of town or out of the country for the summer…to fun places like Cabo or the Bahamas…. or Italy. They all had somewhere nice and fun to go spend their summer. And that hurt me really bad…it made me question why I was born into the family that I was born into. And looking back now, I feel bad for even thinking that. Because I was taking for granted everything else that I was blessed with—having a roof over my head, food on the table, a bed to sleep on, and most importantly, great health.

One of my kids complains about having to take nice trips. It makes my blood boil. I force the kid to go hoping the appreciation will come later in life.

I remember sometimes not wanting to go someplace with my parents because I just wanted to stay home and hang out with my friends. My parents never took us to a tropical island or disneyworld.
